About Me
Well, I am finally taking the time to create my first blog as part of a Web 2.0 class that I am currently enrolled in. I expect this blog to be forever evolving, as I live and learn from those who have been blogging before me.
I am a first generation American, Gen Xer who is currently an Instruction Technology Teacher at Glenbrook Middle School in Longmeaodow, MA. I truly enjoy working with the 6, 7 & 8th grade students as we learn something new everyday about technology. I am eager to learn how to successfully incorporate the new and exciting Web 2.0 tools into my curriculum.
I am also a part-time Senior Associate at Performace Consulting, LLC, which provides organizations with solutions on how to foster more effective communications in the new multi-generational workforce. Moreover, I thoroughly enjoy being a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (®MBTI) practitioner, and a brand new member of the National Speakers Association (NSA).
On a more personal note, the picture that is featured in the header of my blog is the Cliffs of Moher. I took this photograph during my family’s first trip to Ireland in August 2006. The Cliffs, located in County Claire, rise some 700 ft above the Atlantic Ocean, laying ground for one of Ireland’s most spectacular views. Both of my parents are from Galway, and it was truly a dream come true to introduce my husband and children to their extended family. I had to pinch myself as I watched my two children run off with their cousins, as I once did during my first visit to the Old Country when I was 11 years of age.
I currently live in Massachusetts with my Gen X husband Joe, and we are the proud parents of two Millennials.
